Welcome to Asheville’s youth mountain biking team, PISGAH RAGE.
Our goals are to provide a fun, safe, and high quality mountain bike experience for all athletes.
Pisgah Rage is a part of a much larger organization called NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association). NICA is the governing body of the NC league, and is represented in over 20 states.
NICA and the Pisgah Rage’s goal is to get more kids on bikes in a safe and fun setting in our beautiful part of the state. This past season we had almost 90 co-ed middle and high school riders representing public, private, charter and homeschoolers located in Buncombe County, including an Asheville High School Team.
Make friends, push your limits, and have a blast mountain biking.

2 rides a week; 1 – 2 weeknights after 5pm that last 1.5 hours and a weekend day practice, alternating Saturdays and Sundays that last 2 hours.
Races start at the beginning of March. We typically have 5-6 races across the state of North Carolina through the end of May. It is not mandatory to attend but it is very fun and encouraged. Many families camp and some stay in hotels nearby for the weekend. It is important to be there on Saturday to pre-ride with the team and the racing happens all day on Sunday.
If you're not familiar with NICA, we recommend checking out their social media and website.
